All sessions are by appointment only. Participation requires a written veterinary clearance from the treating veterinarian and/or referring veterinary surgeon.

SWIM
THERAPY |
A Swim Session geared to pre-& post-operative conditions, for dogs with specific neuromuscular &/or orthopedic issues, such as hip dysplasia, degenerative myelopathy, degenerative disk issues, arthritis, luxating patella, etc. Designed in accordance with the recommendations and guidance of the treating veterinarian &/or referring veterinary surgeon. Record updates are provided to the veterinarian via fax or email preference. |

FITNESS & CONDITIONING
|

Level I: |
Tailored to the dog’s current physical condition and weight loss goals in accordance with the treating veterinarian’s weight loss protocols. Additionally, the staff teaches the dog parents various land-exercises that they may do with their pet between swim sessions to encourage a safe, steady progress towards the weight-loss goals. |

Level II: |
A fun session for the water-loving dog. Toys are available for use during this session, & parents may opt to be in the pool to play with their dog (s). A staff member will be present during the session, but no bodywork is provided. |

Level III:
Conditioning |
Active swimming with timed rests between activity. For dogs in good health who need a consistent low-impact activity. |

Level IV: |
A solid 45 minute session consisting of lap swim sets, resistance swim sets, figure 8s, and swimming in place. We monitor resting as well as peak respiratory & cardio to avoid muscle fatigue & injury. Recommended for high-energy active canine athletes only.

GERIATRIC SWIM
|
A gentle swim session tailored specifically for geriatric dogs with mobility issues that may compromise their ability to safely partake in land-based exercise. Following a muscle-warming over-all body massage consisting of effleurage & petrissage techniques, the older dog is then gently guided through short swim laps. Between each set of laps, the senior dog receives additional massage and gentle stretching exercises, with particularly attention provided to joint mobility & muscle strength. |

NOTE: Session prices listed are for one dog. Swim Therapy & Geriatric sessions are not conducive to multi-dog participation in one session. For Conditioning & Fitness Level III & IV swims, add an additional $10.00 per dog from same household, limit 3 dogs. Payment due at time services are rendered. Payment in cash or check only.
